2) Add Server

Once you have the account created, you can now log in to ConfigFiles. By default, you’ll land on the Servers page view. This is an area where you can add your database server to manage.

Just click the Add New Server button to start registering your database nodes. The following subsections explain what to follow after the button is clicked.

1) Create Database User

Currently, we only support the MySQL database and its variants. So creating a database user only involves creating the user for your MySQL database. Creating the user requires only SUPER privilege and its scope has to be all databases, i.e. *.*.

Copy the generated commands and execute them on the database server with a privileged user like root or admin with the GRANT privilege. Click Continue once done.

Note

For more details on user privileges and roles for ConfigFiles usage, see Create Database User.
