ConfigFiles agent, a.k.a cm-agent is an application running as a Linux service (or also known as Linux daemon) on the database host which acts as an agent for ConfigFiles to perform delegated tasks that are initiated in the web UI of the ConfigFiles Configuration Management service by the user. It’s also a command-line client which comes with a bunch of options. To uncover the options available for this cm-agent, read the Command-Line page.
Agent periodically pulls the latest configuration from the API endpoints and performs the necessary actions to attempt completing the assigned task. The agent will then push the job’s state back to ConfigFiles API endpoints, allowing users to track every single job and monitor the status directly from a single place.
