Operating System

ClusterControl has been tested and it is supported on the following operating systems:

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.x/9.x
  • Rocky Linux 8.x/9.x
  • AlmaLinux 8.x/9.x
  • Ubuntu 18.04/20.04/22.04/24.04 LTS
  • Debian 10.x/11.x/12.x
  • SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 15 SP3/15 SP4

For the monitored nodes, some database systems are limited to several operating systems, as shown below:

Note
  • Starting 1.9.5, ClusterControl supports openSUSE Leap 15.6 and SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 15 on selected database systems. However, we have dropped openSUSE from 1.9.8.
  • PostgreSQL no longer supports Ubuntu 18.04.
  • Redis does not support Debian 10.
  • Valkey 8 only supports RHEL/Rocky/AlmaLinux 9.
